Our Mission
When I first founded Changing Lanes Hypnotherapy back in 2002, I had one simple goal: to help people transform the way they think, feel, and live — one subconscious shift at a time.
At the time, hypnosis was still surrounded by myths and misunderstandings. I wanted to show people that it wasn’t sleep or mind control — it was a deeply focused state where the mind could finally feel safe enough to let go of old fears and patterns.
As my practice grew, I realized more and more people were searching online for “Michigan Hypnosis.” So I created a companion website under that name to make it easier for people to find me — but it was always the same heart, the same mission, and the same person behind it: me, Amy Hale.
Over the years, both names — Changing Lanes and Michigan Hypnosis — became known across Metro Detroit for their compassionate, results-based approach to transformation. I’ve helped clients release anxiety, overcome self-sabotage, and rediscover their confidence through hypnosis, NLP, EFT, and energy healing.
Today, Changing Lanes Hypnotherapy continues to evolve — integrating neuroscience, and subconscious reprogramming into a holistic path for change. And while people still recognize me from both names, the intention has always been one and the same: helping you move forward with clarity and calm.
Because no matter what name you remember, the truth is this — the work has always been rooted in authenticity, compassion, and experience.
Sessions with Amy Hale at Changing Lanes Hypnotherapy in Bloomfield Hills, MI (and online) continue the same legacy that began back in 2002 — when Changing Lanes first opened its doors and Michigan Hypnosis became its digital home.
